about me ... well I own a beautiful yoga studio in the downtown core of my hometown. I am fortunate to know the most wonderful and uniquely interesting women and gifted yoga teachers. Our team of creative and talented women are a blessing to this yoga community. I am a yoga teacher, wife, mother , grandmother and a interestingly creative individual
When you come to my class bring your sense of humor and be prepared to have fun while you sweat. I like to weave a playful and creative flowing yoga into every class I share with you! I think yoga should be fun and on the mat you can laugh at yourself and with the rest of us. There is so much in life that is serious or taken too seriously and yoga in my class is time to forget about life's pressures, leave your baggage at the door and forget about what weights you down. Let it all go for an hour, be in every moment of that hour just doing yoga! You will be surprised at all the amazing things you can do and you will be even more amazed at what you no longer need to carry around.
I opened my yoga studio so I could get to know the people that attended my classes. I created a space where you can feel at home, learn yoga, explore ways to free your body and mind of stress and pain. I hoped that our space would be like a little home away from your own home that you can be yourself and make friends that share perhaps some of the same problems, fears and worries.
Yoga is not about being perfect but making a deeper connection with yourself. We can together support one another on this journey and realize we are not alone. Everyone has struggles and challenges, YOU are human!
Know you are welcomed into Body in Mind where we wont judge you or critic you. We will not feed you any philosophy you don't want to hear, we will share ideas, inspiration and love with you! You can take it or you can leave it. We learn from you and we are inspired by you , so bring it on!
Yoga is not about being perfect but making a deeper connection with yourself.
I am Certified Yoga Teacher having trained extensively with Maureen Rae E RYT and Sadie Nardini E RYT and Founder of Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga. In 2011I became a Certified Yoga Tune Up® yoga therapist.

Bette is a native of Marquis where she and her husband have an acreage. She is an avid grower of organic vegetables, native grasses and prairie flowers. Bette is also the proud Gran of 4 robust grand-kids.
Teaching yoga is very rewarding. Bette particularly enjoys watching students become stronger in body, mind and spirit and more confident in their new-found flexibility and strength.
She has been certified for yoga instruction by Maureen Rae’s Yoga Studio in Toronto. Bette is a Certified YIN YOGA Teacher, having complete training with Bernie Clark.

What can I say? I love what I do! A little bit about me. I was born, raised and am glad to still call Moose Jaw my home. I recently graduated from Maureen Rae's School of Yoga and my yoga journey just keeps getting better.
I walked into my first yoga class about 7 years ago and immediately found myself drawn to the beauty in my own movements, the serenity of my breath and the fire in my spirit that seemed to ignite.
As a dedicated student at Body in Mind Yoga Studio I witnessed my own life experiences good and bad, become more meaningful the more I practiced, the more I stopped thinking and the more I started feeling. Rod Stryker said " Most people may practice yoga for a year or so then quite or it will change their life forever.". I remember these words and the moments where yoga changed my life forever. I've had many people inspire me along the way and I am always seeking new inspirations!
Yoga means more to me than I could ever describe here and teaching has given me an incredible opportunity to share each and everyday what I've learned thus far and I hope that I can share all the beautiful things that yoga can do with those embarking on their own journey.
Yoga leads the way for you to believe, breathe, be free and strong. It's when you truly embrace exactly who you are that your own potential begins to shine. When it's all said and done, the comfort you take from your own strength will change your life forever.
