"I was looking for something to do. I don't love exercise but wanted to be fit.  I'm not crafty but wanted a hobby that would be a relaxing output for me. I have a busy life built around helping others; wife, mother, nurse. I stumbled upon Body in Mind Yoga Studio and was so welcomed from the very first conversation that I felt compelled to be a part of it.
My commitment to yoga started slowly but has grown tremendously during the 21 Day Transformation. Body in Mind, Tracy and Mei-Ling have given me a warm place (both literally and figuratively) to learn and practice yoga where I am pushed and supported when I need it. Yoga has given me strength. An outer strength I have never had before and an inner strength to push farther than I think I can and trust myself more than I ever have."

After a long lazy winter I decided I had better get my butt in gear and thought that getting back to yoga would be a good starting point. My first class turned out to be a hot yoga class and I loved it, I was hooked. The instructors Tracy and Mei-ling are so knowledgeable and both bring to their classes, their own special way of teaching. The atmosphere in the studio is very welcoming and nonjudgmental; there is nothing to fear there. Yoga challenges me. I've become stronger, more flexible and my posture has improved immensely. Although my initial intention was fitness, I have come to realize that yoga is so much more than exercise; I've found peace, calmness, breath and am less stressed on my mat which carries over into my everyday life. For anyone considering yoga, Body in Mind yoga studio is an awesome place to be and if you let it, your experience there can be life changing…Namaste

I joined yoga as I has taken up running and wasn't getting the stretching that I needed on my own... Wow was I shocked... After doing just a few different classes of yoga, I felt amazing. I didn't have the kind of sore that I expected from running but an all over relief from doing yoga and I continue to be injury free with the added benefit of reminding myself that I DO have abs too!! After doing just a few different classes I felt amazing. I continue to run injury free with the added bonus that I have rediscovered that I have ABS!! Thank Tracy!!

In the past, I heard repeatedly that Yoga would be good training for our surf trips. Months, even years went by without seriously considering it.

I was hesitant to try "Yoga" being most comfortable clanging weights in the gym. I didn't want to sit and breath. I wasn't flexible, skinny, or into chanting like I thought "Yogi's" were. I couldn't put my ankles around the back of my neck while balancing in my sit bones for minutes either!

A deal came out to try some classes at Body In Mind a few months before another surf trip so my husband and I decided to try it out. We have been going to classes ever since and that was almost two years ago.

Yoga was nothing of what I presumed it to be. I am glad I gave it a chance. I have found Yoga to help with my weightlifting flexibility, teaching me avenues for rehabilitation for my body and providing another activity my husband and I can do together to benefit our bodies and lifestyle.

I feel like Yoga classes have made me more well rounded in my fitness training.

Yoga tune up has improved my life so much because its enabled me to work out my sore neck and shoulders in class and at home. As a nail tech I suffer from bad posture due to my job and yoga tune up has 
been the answer for me and will continue to be for life!  Thanks Tracy!

I've been doing classes at Body and Mind since its inception and the benefits of yoga are immense! I have learned to be more in tune to my body. I am stronger and thrilled to be free of the aches and pains that once plagued me! If anyone thinks yoga is not a workout I challenge them to come and try it!

I  found yoga about 7 years ago after suffering from stomach issues related to the stress of running 1/2 marathons. It was a way to stay fit and also to keep my "monkey mind" at ease.
I traveled to Costa Rica in 2007 and obtained my RYT training to become a yoga instructor. I also opened a yoga and fitness clothing store in 2007 that won several awards while I was owner. 

I might possibly be the most loyal student of Tracy's at Body in Mind yoga studio. I have been a student at her studio since she first opened. 

I love the way that Tracy takes her fitness background and integrates it into each and every class. Classes are a mixture of yoga and strength poses; the way she blends core strength and vinyasa has given me a better body than I ever had as a 1/2 marathon runner.

Tracy has recently found a passion for Yoga Tune-up. The practice involves a detailed understanding of anatomy, ensuring that the way we are doing poses is truly good for our bodies. The way she describes the poses and the prompts she provides has given me many "a-ha" moments. Ah, this is the way this pose is supposed to feel:) The tune-up ball work has helped me to work out my own issues with my lower back from sitting at a desk job.

I now have the skills to work on my own back problems at home instead of waiting for a massage therapist, chiropractor or yoga teacher to help me.
