Yoga Etiquette
Before
Class
• Arrive 10-15 minutes early to find parking, sign in and familiarize
yourself with our studio.
• All classes are best practiced on an empty stomach. Try not
to eat any heavy meals 2-3 hours before class.
• Classes are practiced barefoot. Upon entering the studio, leave
your shoes in the designated areas.
• Turn off all electronic devices that may be disruptive to others.
• Leave all personal belongings at home, or in the designated
storage areas of the studio.
• Avoid wearing perfume or any scents.
• Arrive on time for your class.
• Advise the instructor of any injury or medical condition (including
pregnancy) before class starts.
• Keep voices low while in the studio, reception area and hallway
• Wear light-weight and comfortable clothes to class so you can
move easily
During
Class
• Once the instructor begins class, refrain from talking to others.
• Remember to pick up and neatly put away props used during the
class.
• To maximize benefits from your practice, stay for a full savasana,
the final relaxation pose.
• Use a yoga mat and clean your mat after every class
• Go at your own pace. Be gentle and respectful towards your body,
never moving to the point of pain.
• Drink plenty of water before and after each class
